My Elation On Paneer Dosa

The dosa is a special recipe and it is the most delicious recipe for everyone in south India.

I will just narrate an incident which had happened to me.

It was a double treat for me last week since my hubby and my sweet angel’s birthday was on the same day.

To celebrate their birthday we decided to go for shopping, hence I choose westfield london as it is the best place for shopping, there I purchased lot of stuffs and dresses for both of them and really it was a very good time because we started around 9.00 in the morning and we reached only at late night to our home. We were really hungry, my hubby dropped me and my kid at our home and he went to palm beach restaurant and ordered paneer dosa to us because am a huge lover of dosa and the add on to my happiness is that the yummy dosa was stuffed with paneer and it was a perfect restaurant style paneer dosa so me , my kid and hubby we enjoyed the dosa with the yummylicious side dishes.

My hubby and my sweet angel’s birthday arrived and I decided to make paneer dosa as a special dinner for my kith and kin on the occasion of my sweethearts’ birthday.

To my surprise the dosa came very well and everyone started to appreciate me greatly and I was really glad to serve my relatives this alluring paneer dosa.

Now I would like to share the recipe with you all

Ingredients

For Batter

ingredients icon Rice – 4 cup / 4 part

ingredients icon Whole Urad Dal without Skin / Ulundam Paruppu-1 cup / 1 part

ingredients icon Rock Salt- to taste ( See Notes below the recipe)

ingredients icon Water as needed

For Paneer Masala

ingredients icon Paneer / Cheese – 1 packet

ingredients icon Onion – 1

ingredients icon Tomatoes – 3

ingredients icon Ginger Garlic Paste – 1 tsp

ingredients icon Fennel Seeds – 1 tsp

ingredients icon Chilli powder – 1 tsp

ingredients icon Coriander powder – 1 tsp

ingredients icon Garam Masala Powder – 1 tsp

ingredients icon Tandoori Masala Powder – 1 tsp

ingredients icon Cashew – 10

ingredients icon Salt – Needed

ingredients icon Oil – 2 tblspn

ingredients icon Coriander leaves for garnishing

Preparation For Dosa

food icon Soak your rice and dal separately for 5-6 hours.

food icon In your grinder first pour the dal and start grinding it. Add some water for the smooth paste and take the batter and keep it aside.

food icon In the same grinder pour the rice and start grinding it. Add some water to make the batter smooth and soft and keep it aside.

food icon Mix the dal batter and rice batter with the salt and mix it in a well manner.

food icon Separate the batter into 2 vessels . Make sure that you don’t fill the batter half way above the container which you store this because it do rise a lot while it ferments.

food icon Leave it for 6 to 10 hours outside and keep it in the fridge.

food icon When you want to make a dosa take it out from the fridge and let it freeze out for a while

food icon Mix the batter once again and if it is necessary add some water and prepare the dosa.

Preparation For Masala

food icon Take all your ingredients as I have listed above

food icon The onions and tomatoes must be finely chopped

food icon Make the paneer into small pieces and soak into hot water till you use.

food icon Take the pan redarrow Pour the oil in pan redarrow Fry the cashews redarrow Keep it aside
In the same pan redarrow Pour the oil in the pan redarrow Add Onions and fry till the onion color differs redarrow Add the ginger and garlic paste redarrow Fry till it becomes golden brown redarrow Add the tomatoes and cook till it becomes too squishy

food icon Take the blender redarrow Add the cashews and the above masala in the blender and grind it to a fine paste redarrow Add some water to make the masala squishy – Now the puree is ready

food icon In the same pan redarrow Pour the oil and add the fennel seeds and heat it for some time redarrow Add the puree to the pan redarrow Add all the spice powders( Chilli powder, Coriander powder, Tandoori masala powder, Garam masal powder) redarrow Mix all the spice powders with the puree in the pan and cook till the oil separates.

food icon Add some water to the masala redarrow Add the drained paneer cubes and mix well

food icon Cover it and simmer till the oil separates

food icon Now the paneer masala is ready

food icon Garnish the masala with coriander leaves.

Making Of Paneer Masala Dosa

food icon Heat the dosa tawa redarrow Pour the batter on the tawa redarrow Spread it equally on all sides redarrow Drizzle some oil around the sides redarrow Wait till the dosa becomes light brown redarrow Turn the dosa with the non stick ladle redarrow Wait till it become crispy redarrow Now you can take the dosa from the tawa

food icon Place it in the plate redarrow Pour the ladle full of paneer masala on the center of the dosa redarrow Now fold in half
